Get Out And Live

So, Jill, Brooke and I decided to volunteer for the dew tour this year.
But before you go on to thinking what great people we are.....
I feel the need to tell you that we did it
to get something......
We Volunteered through the G.O.A.L foundation (go out and live)
which promoted the "Get a Day, Give a Day" program in wh
ich you give a
day of service, and get a free day to Disneyland.
So this is the reason we did it
(as well as helping out and the great satisfaction of giv
ing of our time!)
So we now have a day to Disney! Which we will be using in April while we
are in California for our cruise to Cab
o!! (so excited!)It ended up being alot of fun! Cold, but fun!

Monday Mayhem

Well, It has been a while since my last post,
so I wish I had something fun and
exciting to post about, but that is not the case. In fact, let me apologize to those of you who are about to read about my negativity!
It is Tuesday, but I have basically had two Mondays in
a row! This is NOT good, considering how Mondays usually are, and how horrible my Monday was!!
I had to deal with whinny, complaining employees ALL day!!
If it wasn't one thing it was another! It just didn't stop.
So by the time 2:30 rolled around and I was off, I was outta there, and wasn't lookin back! What a nightmare of a Monday!
Then comes Tuesday, it had the potential to make up for
the Monday that I had. The first part of the day was not bad, Work wasn't too bad, nothing really to complain about, but then my Monday Mayhem returned in the form of
car problems =(
My car decided to break down on my way home,
so needless to say,
it is sitting all alone in the dark parking lot of the car shop. But not after hours of trying to get it towed from Salt Lake. My dad came and helped as well as a friend of mine. I owe them both big time and am very lucky to have people in my life that can help me with car problems.
They are by far the most stressful thing to have to deal with HATE IT!
So now I am home, car-less (thankfully my brother is kind enoug
h to wake up to take me to work at 5:40 in the morning tomorrow), contemplating the last couple of STRESSFULL days.
I came up with a self reward
for all that I have had to go through in the last 48 hours and here it is..................
I made me some brownies!!

(and don't you doubt for one second that there will not be any of these left by tomorrow night. I
deserve this!!)So now I am going to go enjoy them! Thanks for listening!
The End.

Help Me!!

Attention Everyone!!
I am starting a "craft blog" mainly consisting of
"revamped", recycled", "redesigned", "refashioned", "re-used"
creations made from things that normally people might throwout or donate to your local thrift store.
So, I am asking you for your things! Next time you have a load (small or large) to run to the D.I. call me instead!
I will come pick it up (or you can come to me). As un-usable as you think your things could be.
I'm talking everything from...clothes, (mens, womens, kids etc), home decor, SMALL furniture, blankets, sheets, whatever it is you have that you would donate.
It will help me,
and you might see your stuff end up reused on my blog! =)
You can just comment here, or email me at ashlee.nps@gmail.com.

P.s. I am only allotted the space in my car, so I will take what I can fit in my car =)

Dear 2009,

You have come and gone, in what seems like the blink of an eye. You have brought many great things. You have witnessed many ups, and many downs. I am so grateful for all the wonderful things that happened throughout the year. Here are just a few highlights that will go down in history:

A New best friend!

Lots of travels, Including San Fran, Santa Monica, Spain, Italy and France!

Promotion to Supervisor @ work

As the new year is here, along with millions of other people, I am reflecting on the things that I know need to change, and things that I need to work on or improve. Here are a few that I will be working on:

Volunteering at Primary Children's Hospital

Returning to school (yuck)

Losing 20 lbs by April

Making a budget (Saving more)

Making my own pickles

Less procrastination

And more scripture study (& spiritual growth)

This past year has brought an abundance of personal growth, I have learned so much about the person that I am and want to become. It is a little un-nerving to think about what a whole new year can bring. . .but I am ready!!

Bring it on 2010!!

Happy New Year!

I was privilaged enough to spend new years with my jill =) we headed out for dinner at the bayou. it was another one of our little (pub) adventures. and very yummy

after dinner we headed to the gastation..... jill needed an a.t.m and I...... an energy drink.....
(below is a glimpse of my first experience drinking an energy drink)
I was a little weary at first but jill gave me the following advice:
<Drink It..Love It..Do It>
well, i drank it, i did it, but i didn't love it
but it made for many laughs!

a night isn't complete without a photo shoot with jill. new years eve is definitely no exception:

we had a few things that we needed to decide from for the night,
after we headed to an institute activity
(that blew) we headed to
3ve downtown.

we headed to the dance party where we encountered a dirty dancing couple, that was very entertaining, people moshing all around us, and not even and inch of room to move! it was craziness....but very fun!Happy New Year!!
